What is PRF (platelet-rich fibrin)?

Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a natural, regenerative aesthetic treatment that uses your body’s own growth factors to rejuvenate and restore the skin. A small sample of your blood is gently processed to concentrate healing platelets and fibrin, which are then strategically applied or injected to stimulate collagen production and improve skin quality. PRF is commonly used to soften fine lines, improve under-eye hollows, reduce the appearance of acne scars, enhance skin texture, and promote overall facial rejuvenation — delivering subtle, natural-looking results without synthetic additives.

What is the Difference Between PRF and PRP Treatment?

While PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) and PRP (platelet-rich plasma) are often grouped together, they are distinctly different, especially when prepared using advanced clinical protocols. PRF is a newer, more natural advancement. Unfortunately, PRP requires the use of anticoagulants during processing, which can compromise the benefits by interrupting the body’s natural healing process. PRF is created without any additives, allowing it to form a fibrin matrix that releases growth factors slowly over time. This leads to longer-lasting regenerative benefits and more natural results in aesthetic treatments.

Why Our PRF is Different

Not all PRF is created equal. The method used to process blood has a significant impact on the quality and effectiveness of the final product. At F.A.C.E., we utilize horizontal centrifuge, rather than traditional fixed-angle centrifuge.

•  Why This Matters:
A horizontal centrifuge allows blood components to separate in distinct, horizontal layers, preserving the integrity of platelets, fibrin, and white blood cells. These distinct layers yield higher quality fibrin matrix, greater regenerative potency, reduced cellular trauma resulting in superior PRF and enhanced regenerative outcomes.
