Aaron Kotecki, DDS Dr. Kotecki is a native of Geneseo, IL, a small farming community in Illinois. In high school, he became interested in oral surgery because it was the perfect blend of dentistry and medicine. Aaron became an Iowa transplant while attending Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa where he graduated with a degree in biochemistry. He attended the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. While in dental school, he met his wife, Kristin, who is originally from and is native to Mason City and is also a practicing dentist.
Following dental school, he completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Oklahoma, where he gained extensive experience in sedation, third molar (wisdom tooth) extraction, dental implants, bone grafting, and maxillofacial trauma. Dr. Kotecki is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) and is an active member of the Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Iowa Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS). He takes call at Mercy One North Iowa, ensuring comprehensive emergency and surgical care for his community. ![]() Interests and HobbiesIn his free time, Dr. Kotecki enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, Colt, Kacey, and Caleb. He enjoys staying busy taking care of his acreage and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes. He is also an avid outdoorsman and can be found fishing, hunting, or skiing. |
