Grace Moore DDS, MS"I am a Mason City native, graduating from Newman Catholic High School. I went on to attend Loyola University Chicago as a student athlete. While at Loyola I competed in cross country and track and field and majored in biology with a minor in biostatistics. Despite not having any family influence in the dental field, I knew during my early high school years that I wanted to pursue an education in dentistry. I earned my DDS degree from The University of Iowa College of Dentistry. During my time in dental school, I served on multiple committees through the Iowa chapter of the American Student Dental Association and held leadership roles in various clubs. Additionally, I was elected as President of the Class of 2019 during my third and fourth years. Through didactic and clinical experiences, I found a particular interest in the management of patients with periodontal disease and surgical dentistry. Immediately following dental school graduation in 2019, I began periodontics residency at The University of Nebraska Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska receiving advanced training in periodontics and dental implants. I served as chief resident during my third year, graduating in June 2022 with a certificate in periodontics and a masters in oral biology." Interests and Hobbies"I recently moved back to Mason City with my husband, Ben, and our English cream retriever, Norman. Ben is a 5th grade science teacher and the varsity boys’ basketball coach for Charles City Community School District. In my free time, I enjoy running, traveling, and spending time at the lake. We are avid Iowa Hawkeye fans and enjoy following the Minnesota Vikings. I am thrilled to be back in Mason City to be close to family and friends. I look forward to meeting you!" -Dr. Moore |
